Similar to Gmail Yahoo mail also added chat module right inside Yahoo mail. In other term you can say that yahoo is following google's footprints.
Yahoo chat will work if he or she uses yahoo mail or Windows Live Messenger. Its good to see the competition between these two. I think yahoo is still leading in terms of market share. But currently yahoo users are turning towards gmail. After integrating chat module in Yahoo mail Yahoo must be thinking to get its users back.
